78 year old retired geologist. Having been on a lot of expeditions around the world am interested to know how such a major one as that of 1845 failed. These were hand picked men on almost indestructable ships. They would not have lost easily. Hopefully the wrecks will yield much information but the final facts may not emerge until the buried records are fiund.
